DAY 1: ZAGREB
Welcome to Croatia’s vibrant capital! Start your adventure by diving into the rich history of Zagreb, a city where centuries of culture meet modern charm. Begin at Ban Jelačić Square, one of Southeast Europe’s most picturesque squares, and uncover the stories that shaped this bustling city. Wander through the historic neighborhoods of Kaptol and Gradec, which once stood as separate medieval towns, now united in Zagreb’s heart. Explore Dolac Market, a lively hub where you can savor local flavors and witness the essence of Zagreb’s everyday life. As you stroll along the ancient walls of Kaptol, make your way to the Upper Town for a panoramic view of the city. Don’t miss Tkalčićeva Street, once a dividing line between the two medieval cities, now lined with cafes and shops. Finish the day with a climb to Lotrščak Tower, where you’ll hear the historic cannon fire at noon, signaling the passage of time in this enchanting city.
DAY 2: VARAŽDIN & TRAKOŠĆAN CASTLE
Today, we explore Varaždin, known for its stunning baroque architecture. Stroll through its charming streets, discover old guild signs, and visit the Ursuline Church and Square of Traditional Crafts. Experience the lively atmosphere of Varaždinski Plac market and admire the city’s hidden backyards. Next, we head to Trakošćan Castle, a magnificent example of medieval architecture. Explore its fascinating collection of medieval arts, weapons, and tools, then enjoy a peaceful walk around Trakošćan Lake before returning to Zagreb.
DAY 3: ZAGREB - RIJEKA
After breakfast, we journey towards the “gate of Istria,” the northernmost peninsula of the Adriatic. Along the way, we’ll stop at the iconic Jagunić Winery, one of the most renowned in continental Croatia, for a taste of exquisite local wines. Continuing on, we’ll visit Karlovac, a medieval town nestled at the crossroads between the coast and the continent. Arriving in Rijeka in the late afternoon, we’ll check in at your hotel, leaving you with some free time to relax and explore this vibrant port city at your own pace.
DAY 4: RIJEKA & OPATIJA
It is time to begin our exploration of Istria by delving into the charm of Rijeka and Opatija, two iconic towns along the Adriatic’s northern coast. As we take in breathtaking views of the islands of Krk and Cres, you’ll discover the allure of this region, once a favorite destination for European aristocracy during the 18th and 19th centuries. We’ll dive into the history of Opatija, a town that exudes elegance and old-world charm. After a day of sightseeing, we’ll return to the hotel for some relaxation and a restful evening.
DAY 5: PULA
Prepare for a journey back in time as we head to Pula, a town that boasts an extraordinary mix of ancient history and Mediterranean charm. Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the legacy of the Romans, starting with the imposing Triumphal Arch of the Sergii, an emblem of the city’s rich past. Meander through the historic Forum, where the grandeur of the Temple of Augustus, built in the early 1st century AD, stands tall as a testament to Roman architecture. Continue through the Hercules Gate, an ancient entryway into the town, and make your way to Pula’s most famous landmark – the Roman Arena. As the sixth-largest amphitheater in the world, it is an awe-inspiring sight and a symbol of Pula’s cultural significance. After a day of exploration, we’ll head to our hotel to unwind and reflect on the beauty of this historical gem.
DAY 6: BRIJUNI ISLANDS
We set sail to the serene Brijuni Islands, once a private haven for Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito. This captivating archipelago, now a National Park, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. Explore Tito’s personal legacy as we wander through the islands, from the exotic animals and plants in the Safari Park, gifted to Tito during his reign, to the ancient Roman and Byzantine remnants that tell stories of centuries past. Marvel at the fascinating dinosaur footprints and visit Tito’s former residence, which now houses a museum dedicated to his extraordinary life. After a day filled with history and wonder, we return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
DAY 7: ROVINJ & UMAG
The day has come to journey to Rovinj, a charming town once an island, where its picturesque streets beckon exploration. Wander through the narrow cobblestone lanes and visit the majestic Church of St. Euphemia, the largest baroque structure in Istria. Admire the Balbi Arch, an iconic symbol of the town’s former grandeur under the Venetian Republic. From Rovinj, we continue to Umag, a hidden coastal gem along the Adriatic. Immerse yourself in the beauty of this town before heading to the stunning Wine Residence, where you’ll indulge in a delightful dinner paired with exceptional Istrian wines. After a day of rich culture and fine flavors, we return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
DAY 8: TRIESTE, MOTOVUN & PIRAN
We cross into Italy for a full day of exploration in Trieste, one of the most captivating cities along the Adriatic. With a fascinating history shaped by various cultures, Trieste offers a unique blend of Italian and Central European influences. Discover the city’s role in the post-WWII tensions between Yugoslavia and Italy and how this intriguing past still echoes through its streets. Take some time to explore Trieste’s vibrant shopping scene, a true haven for fashion lovers. Late in the evening, we return to Pula to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.
DAY 9 - 11: PULA

DAY 12 -13: ZADAR
We check out of the hotel and set sail on a scenic ferry ride toward Northern Dalmatia, heading to the vibrant city of Zadar. As we cruise through the spectacular Kornati Islands and the surrounding archipelago, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of one of the most pristine corners of the Adriatic. Upon arrival in Zadar, step back in time as we uncover the city’s intriguing history, including its pirate-filled past. Passing through the majestic Mainland Gate, we enter Zadar’s Old Town, where every corner has a story to tell. After our exploration, we check in at the hotel and take the rest of the day to relax and soak in the atmosphere.
DAY 14: PLITVICE LAKES
Get ready to step into a true natural wonder—Plitvice Lakes National Park, a breathtaking labyrinth of crystal-clear lakes and dramatic waterfalls. As you walk through this enchanting landscape, surrounded by lush forests and serene nature, it feels like you’ve stepped into a living fairy tale. The park’s vivid turquoise waters, flowing in a stunning cascade, create a peaceful yet awe-inspiring atmosphere. DAY 15: ŠIBENIK & SPLIT
We head south toward Central Dalmatia, beginning our journey in the ancient city of Šibenik, the oldest Slavic settlement on the Adriatic. Nestled between the Krka River delta and the Adriatic coast, Šibenik is a city of breathtaking beauty and rich history. Explore the iconic St. James’ Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece, and stroll through the charming promenade that winds along the bay. A boat ride will take us to the impressive Fortress of St. Nicholas, perched on a small islet just outside the city, guarding the bay for centuries. Afterward, we continue to Split, the vibrant heart of Dalmatia. Here, a walk through the city reveals layers of history, from Roman ruins to medieval charm. As we explore Split’s ancient streets and coastal beauty, you’ll quickly see why it’s considered one of the most stunning cities in Croatia. After our tour, we head to the hotel to unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening.
DAY 16: SPLIT
Embark on an unforgettable full-day boat ride through the sparkling waters of the central Dalmatian Sea. Cruise past the stunning islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar, and others, each with its own distinct beauty and charm. As we sail, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of crystal-clear waters, rugged coastlines, and serene islands that seem untouched by time. This leisurely journey offers the perfect opportunity to soak in the natural splendor of Dalmatia from the sea. In the evening, we return to Split for a relaxing night and a chance to reflect on the day’s stunning maritime adventure.
DAY 17: TROGIR
Step into the captivating town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that beautifully showcases the Adriatic’s rich history. Wander through its maze-like streets, where ancient Roman and medieval influences intertwine. Admire the grandeur of the Cipiko Palaces, the impressive Kamerlengo Fortress, and the architectural brilliance of St. Lawrence Cathedral. As we pass through the City Gate, the stunning City Loggia awaits, offering a glimpse into Trogir’s past. After immersing in this historic gem, return to Split to relax and enjoy an evening at leisure.
DAY 18: DUBROVNIK
Bid farewell to Dalmatia as we head to one of the most iconic cities on the Adriatic—Dubrovnik! Steeped in medieval history and brimming with fascinating legends, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a treasure waiting to be explored. Walk along its ancient city walls, offering stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the red-roofed buildings below. DAY 19: MLJET ISLAND
