DAY 0: ARRIVAL TO MONTENEGRO
Welcome to Montenegro! After landing at Podgorica or Tivat International Airport, we will meet you and transfer you to the hotel.
DAY 1: PODGORICA, SKADAR LAKE & BUDVA RIVIERA
After breakfast we start adventure with a visit to the stunning Skadar Lake. It is the largest freshwater lake in the Balkans, home to over 270 bird species!
After that, hop on a boat and glide through serene waters, spotting wildlife and enjoying the tranquility of the landscape. Next, journey along the mesmerizing Budva Riviera, where the Adriatic coast greets you with its sparkling waters and scenic views. In Budva, take a leisurely walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, rich in history and charm, before relaxing at your hotel for the evening.
DAY 2: BRIDE OF ADRIA - BOKA BAY
Step into the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful bays, the stunning Boka Bay, where history and nature unite in perfect harmony. Begin with a stroll through Kotor’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, a maze of narrow streets and medieval charm. Hop on a boat to visit the picturesque Our Lady of the Rocks island, home to a captivating monastery and legendary tales. Uncover the ancient roots of the Illyrian civilization in Risan, the first capital of the Illyrian Kingdom. Cruise through the Verige Strait, passing the enchanting towns of Herceg Novi and Prevlaka Peninsula. End your day with some free time at Porto Montenegro, where luxury meets relaxation.
DAY 3: SOUTHERN CROATIA - CAVTAT & DUBROVNIK
Today, we head to the southernmost resort of Croatia, the charming town of Cavtat, where the Adriatic breeze whispers stories of its rich history. Take a leisurely stroll along its beautiful promenade, lined with stunning views and historical landmarks. Then, continue to Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Explore the magnificent city with a tour of its ancient ramparts, offering spectacular views of the crystal-clear sea and terracotta rooftops. Walk through the iconic Pile Gate and along the bustling Stradun, where centuries of history blend with modern-day vibrancy. Dubrovnik is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and famously served as the backdrop for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones!
DAY 4: DUBROVNIK & MLJET
Set sail from Dubrovnik and explore the stunning Elafiti Islands, cruising through the deep blue hues of the Adriatic Sea. Your destination is Mljet, one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic, renowned for its lush, untouched forests and tranquil atmosphere. It is home to a national park with two saltwater lakes, Veliko and Malo Jezero, creating a landscape that feels almost otherworldly! As you wander through the island, you’ll discover its serene charm, with a visit to a Benedictine monastery set in the heart of the island. Take a break for a delicious lunch surrounded by nature’s beauty, before we return to Dubrovnik.
DAY 5: PELJEŠAC & KORČULA
Venture into the heart of Central Dalmatia as we begin with a wine tour across the Pelješac Peninsula. This area is known for its centuries-old winemaking tradition, and you’ll get to taste some of the region’s finest wines made from the renowned Plavac Mali grape. The stunning vineyards against the backdrop of the Adriatic make this tour even more memorable. Next, we head to Korčula Island, where the famous explorer Marco Polo was born. As you stroll through its medieval streets, you’ll feel the presence of its Venetian past, with its distinctive stone architecture and narrow alleys. Finally, hop on a ferry for a magnificent ride from Korčula to Split, passing by the iconic islands of Vis, Hvar, and Brač, before reaching the vibrant city of Split.
DAY 6: SPLIT & TROGIR
Begin your day in Split, one of Dalmatia’s most captivating cities with a history stretching back thousands of years. As we explore, you’ll visit the stunning St. Domnius Cathedral, home to a bell tower offering panoramic views of the city, and journey back to Ancient Roman times with a visit to Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, an architectural marvel still standing in the heart of Split. Don’t miss Jupiter’s Temple, dedicated to the king of the gods, as you feel the presence of Roman history in every stone. Afterward, we head to the charming town of Trogir, often called the “museum city” due to its well-preserved medieval architecture. Stroll through the romantic atmosphere, passing the magnificent Cipiko Palaces and the Kamerlengo Fortress. As we make our way to St. Lawrence Cathedral, you’ll experience the town’s incredible beauty and historical depth, ending with a glimpse of the splendid City of Loggia.
DAY 7: ŠIBENIK & ZADAR
Traveling north to North Dalmatia, our first stop is Šibenik, the oldest Slavic city on the Adriatic. As we explore, we visit the extraordinary Fortress of St. Nicolas, perched on an islet just outside Šibenik Bay. This remarkable Venetian defensive structure, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, offers a unique glimpse into the region’s military history. Next, we journey to Krka National Park, home to one of the most stunning landscapes in Croatia. Here, you’ll be awestruck by the famous Krka Waterfalls, a series of magnificent cascades that have shaped the natural beauty of the area for centuries. After experiencing the wonders of Krka, we continue our journey up the Adriatic coast and arrive in Zadar in the late afternoon, ready to discover the charm of this ancient coastal city.
DAY 8: ZADAR & KORNATI
Set sail to the enchanting Kornati Archipelago, a collection of 140 islands, each offering unique beauty and protected as a National Park. Explore this coastal gem, where crystal-clear waters meet dramatic landscapes, creating an idyllic escape for nature enthusiasts. After soaking in the serene surroundings of Kornati, we head back to Zadar, where we’ll unravel the city’s pirate-filled past. As we enter the Old Town through the Mainland Gate, you’ll be immersed in tales of Adriatic pirates and the storied history of this coastal city, making for a fascinating conclusion to your journey along the Adriatic.
DAY 9: KVARNER & RIJEKA
Start your journey through the northern Adriatic, heading towards the stunning Istrian Peninsula. Cruise through the tranquil waters of the Kvarner Gulf, passing by the idyllic islands of Krk, Rab, Cres, and Pag, each with its own distinct charm. As we dock in Rijeka, Croatia’s vibrant port city, you’ll explore Korzo, the lively pedestrian street teeming with history, cafes, and local shops. After soaking in the city’s atmosphere, we make our way to Opatija, a town renowned for its elegant 19th-century villas and picturesque waterfront promenade. Check-in, unwind, and enjoy the Adriatic’s serene beauty.
DAY 10: OPATIJA & PULA
Indulge in the elegance of Opatija, one of Croatia’s most glamorous seaside destinations. Stroll along the stunning Lungomare promenade, lined with opulent villas and lush gardens, while soaking in the sophisticated charm of this coastal gem. Continue your journey to Pula, home to one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. Wander through the ancient ruins, feeling the echoes of gladiatorial battles and Roman grandeur. To end the day, hop on a boat to the serene Brijuni Islands, a secluded paradise once favored by former Yugoslav president Tito for relaxation and recreation. Experience the tranquility and history of this stunning archipelago.
DAY 11: BRIJUNI
Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the Brijuni Islands, where time seems to stand still. On this full-day tour, explore the former playground of ex-Yugoslav president Tito, a man whose colorful legacy still echoes through the islands. Wander through the Safari Park, home to exotic animals and rare plants that Tito received as gifts during his reign. Marvel at one of the oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, standing tall at over 1600 years old. Discover ancient Roman and Byzantine remnants scattered across the islands, and for a real surprise, catch a glimpse of dinosaur footprints – a testament to Brijuni’s prehistoric past.
DAY 12: ROVINJ & UMAG
Leave Brijuni behind as we journey to the enchanting town of Rovinj, once an island and now a charming peninsula. Stroll through its narrow, cobblestone streets, where every corner reveals a spectacular scene of vibrant buildings and Mediterranean charm. Afterward, continue to Umag, one of the Adriatic’s most captivating coastal towns. Roam the Old Town, where history whispers through the quaint alleys leading to the Church of St. Rocco. End the day in style at a renowned Wine Residence, where you’ll savor the finest Istrian wines paired with a delicious dinner, immersing yourself in the flavors of this stunning region.
DAY 13: PORTOROŽ, IZOLA & KOPER
Let’s venture to the northernmost stretch of the Adriatic coast, crossing into Slovenia to explore its stunning seaside gems. Start with Portorož, where you can marvel at the beautiful St. Bernardine Monastery, offering breathtaking views over the shimmering sea. Continue on to Izola, a peaceful town with a rich maritime history. In Koper, stroll through the historic heart of the town and visit the impressive Pretorian Palace, a magnificent testament to the Venetian influence on this region. Afterward, head inland to Slovenia’s charming capital, Ljubljana, for check-in and some well-deserved rest. As the evening sets in, enjoy a serene boat tour along the Ljubljanica River, soaking in the city’s enchanting atmosphere before we gather for a festive farewell dinner.
DAY 14: DEPARTURE FROM LJUBLJANA
After a delightful breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the Adriatic. We’ll escort you to Ljubljana International Airport for your departure, leaving you with unforgettable memories of a journey through the captivating Adriatic coast and beyond.
