Itinerary
DAY 0: ARRIVAL TO BELGRADE
Arrival to Belgrade. Meet and greet at the airport according to your flight time and transfer to hotel.
DAY 1: BELGRADE
Arrive in Belgrade, a city where centuries of history converge in a vibrant modern setting. Wander through its cobbled streets and discover its rich past, from ancient settlements to imperial monuments. Explore the impressive Kalemegdan Fortress, the oldest and largest preserved fortress in Europe, and take in sweeping views of the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. Immerse yourself in Belgrade’s lively atmosphere, enjoying the city’s charm like a local.
Later, venture into the heart of Serbia’s wine heritage with a visit to the Trišić Winery, where the Trišić family welcomes you to savor some of the finest wines the country has to offer. End your day with a peaceful retreat at Zornića Kuća Ethno Complex, where you’ll relax and recharge amidst the beauty of traditional Serbian architecture.
DAY 2: MT. KOSMAJ & MT. AVALA
Embark on a journey to the serene peaks of Mt. Avala and Mt. Kosmaj, the northernmost mountains of Central Serbia, just a short distance from the bustling energy of Belgrade. Explore these hidden natural gems, where history and breathtaking landscapes intertwine. Discover ancient fortresses, including the remains of Avala’s Tower, and take in panoramic views of the lush Serbian countryside.
After soaking in the natural beauty, enjoy a hearty lunch at the Amerić Ethno Village & Paddock, where traditional flavors and rustic charm blend seamlessly. Then, head to the renowned Kabinet Brewery, where you’ll taste some of Southeast Europe’s finest beers. Let the refreshing flavors enhance your appreciation for the region’s brewing traditions.
DAY 3: MT. KOSMAJ - ZASAVICA - SUNČANA REKA
Begin your day at Zasavica Nature Reserve, home to wild oxen, wild donkeys, and some of Europe’s rarest bird species. Wander through this stunning natural haven and enjoy the serenity of its landscapes. Savor a traditional Mačva region lunch at Salaš Noćajski before heading to the peaceful Sunčana Reka Ethno Complex by the Drina River. Relax and immerse yourself in authentic rural Serbian life at this charming riverside retreat.
DAY 4: SUNČANA REKA – TRŠIĆ – KRUPANJ – SUNČANA REKA
Get ready for a journey into the heart of Radjevina, a region steeped in history and tradition. Start with a visit to Tršić, the birthplace of Vuk Karadžić, the visionary who reformed the modern Serbian alphabet. Experience the spiritual serenity of the Tronoša Monastery, a medieval gem tucked in the hills.
Next, discover the peaceful beauty of Dobri Potok Orthodox Church, a stunning and unique park that seamlessly blends nature and devotion. Then, embark on a hike up Mačkov Kamen peak on Mt. Jagodnja, where you’ll stand at the site of one of WWI’s fiercest battles and pay tribute to the fallen heroes.
DAY 5: SUNČANA REKA – GRADAC VALLEY – ZLAKUSA – MT. ZLATIBOR
Start your adventure by strolling through the breathtaking Gradac River Valley, where nature’s beauty creates a serene backdrop for your journey. In Zlakusa, immerse yourself in the art of traditional pottery at the Terzića Avlija Ethno Complex, learning firsthand from skilled artisans.
After that, explore the magnificent Potpeć Cave, a hidden gem of the region, before savoring fresh trout caught from a nearby stream—a true taste of local life. Finally, head to the scenic heights of Mt. Zlatibor for a relaxing check-in at the Boskova Voda Ethno Complex, where you can unwind in a peaceful mountain retreat.
DAY 6: MT. ZLATIBOR
Uncover the natural and cultural beauties of Mt. Zlatibor. Begin with the stunning Stopića Cave, renowned for its impressive formations, followed by a visit to the tranquil Gostilje Waterfalls, where you can unwind amidst nature’s serenity. Also, dive into the rich history of the region at the Sirogojno Open-Air Museum, where the age-old woolen crafts come to life, offering a fascinating look at traditional Serbian life and craftsmanship.
DAY 7: MT. ZLATIBOR
Journey through the captivating Ovčar-Kablar gorge, where ancient monasteries stand as enduring symbols of spiritual heritage. DAY 8: MT. RUDNIK - BELGRADE
After a morning surrounded by the natural beauty of Mt. Rudnik, enjoy a scenic transfer back to Belgrade, where you’ll have time to reflect on your unforgettable journey through Serbia’s rich cultural heritage. Bid farewell as your adventure concludes with a final day.
